A little about Navarre for you. Navarre was once just a little fishing village frequented by locals from the communities of Milton and Pensacola as well as Fort Walton Beach. In the years since, visiting airmen from the local Air Force bases as well as those who have found Navarre by accident have made it their home which has resulted in a population explosion, at least to those of us who have lived here all of our lives.
Navarre is the perfect holiday location for anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation destination on one of the most beautiful beaches in the United States, if not the world. Outdoor lovers will enjoy a wide variety of activities on Navarre Beach including snorkeling, kayaking, windsurfing, surfing, shelling, and fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, the Santa Rosa Sound, East Bay and East Bay River.
The entire Navarre area is a haven for watersports lovers and Navarre Beach itself is located on the east end Santa Rosa Island, a very narrow barrier island with the Gulf of Mexico to the south and the sound or Intracoastal Waterway to the north.
